Mapeamento e Quantificação do reflorestamento no Estado de São Paulo

RESUMO
O inventário florestal das áreas reflorestadas do Estado de São Paulo foi desenvolvido em formato digital e em ambiente de SIG (Sistema de Informações Geográficas) com informações espaciais referentes ao reflorestamento, obtidas pela análise digital de imagens orbitais recentes (1999- 2000). O reflorestamento foi identificado por gênero (Pinus e Eucalyptus). Posteriormente, foram levantadas informações com os proprietários das áreas com reflorestamento, referentes a: espécies, idade e condições de manejo. A fotointerpretação, mapeamento e quantificação do reflorestamento foram efetuados para cada um dos municípios do Estado de São Paulo, utilizando ferramentas fornecidas pelas bases digitais estruturadas, contendo as áreas associadas aos correspondentes bancos de dados. Com base em levantamentos efetuados em diferentes épocas é apresentada também uma análise evolutiva do reflorestamento para todo o Estado de São Paulo. O trabalho apresenta também aspectos referentes à vinculação das áreas de reflorestamento, sendo feita sua estratificação de acordo com seus diferentes proprietários. O trabalho foi desenvolvido pelo Instituto Florestal, em cooperação com a SBS – Sociedade Brasileira de Silvicultura, sendo projeto integrante do Programa BIOTA-FAPESP (Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo).

ABSTRACT
The reforestation inventory of São Paulo State was developed on GIS digital format – Geographic Information System, with surface information involving reforestation obtained by the digital analysis of recent satellite images (1999-2000). Reforestation was identified by genus (Pinus and Eucalyptus). Information about species, age and management conditions were obtained in the subsequent phase from owners of reforestation areas. Photo interpretation, mapping and quantification of reforestation were obtained for each municipality of São Paulo State using tools provided by the structured digital database that contains areas associated with the corresponding databanks. An analysis of reforestation over time for São Paulo State was also presented based on different inventories produced in the past. This paper also presents information on the properties of forests. The project was carried out by Forest Institute, in cooperation with SBS – Brazilian Society of Silviculture and is part of the BIOTA-FAPESP (The State of São Paulo Research Foundation) program.
